Something borrowed, something glued...

This weekend I made a cake topper for my dear friend Beth's upcoming wedding. It stands about 6" tall, made with sculpy III clay and polished off with some acrylic paint (mostly because late last night I ran out of black and had to make part of the tux out of purple. Shhh).

I got a little carried away in the crafts store, so I bought materials to make this decorative paper/thread/ribbon "cake" stand for the bridal shower.

Below are a few in-progress shots.

Congratulations Beth and Jeffery!!
I'm looking forward to the big day!

Sew, a needle stabbing thumb.

I personalized my kitten's new travel food/toy bag today. Such a good mom, right?
Well, she didn't think so. She stepped in a big glob of paint
and was tortured in the sink by her terrible mom.

Then I got jealous, so I decorated MY new lunch tote.
They spelled my name wrong on the front, so I just added some green
ribbon and fun buttons to make it more Kelsey-esque.
I'm no sew pro though, so some minor injuries took place during the endeavor.
(To me, not the kitten. She was asleep).

Little Lost Girl

I found this munchkin buried in a sketchbook today.
Apparently I decided she was a reject at some point in the past. I thought I'd make up for
that by giving her her own post.

Doodle Me This

A quick little doodle I did when there was a lull at the book signing yesterday.

Round two!

Last week's signing was a success! Union Avenue Books is such a cute, little bookstore.
I'm going to go there all the time now. If you're in Knoxville, you should too!

Join us this week at the art supply wonderland that is Jerry's Artarama!

So proud of my friend Dixie Pizani, 3D animator extraordinaire!
She's been working at Rhythm and Hues in LA
and is now going to be a temp animator
at Blue Sky Studios!

One for you, One for me

Who do you call when your town is buried by bananas?

We're on the final stretch! Keep checking in for updates!
The ebook will be available by Halloween!

Also, follow me on twitter @kelseycroy for the latest information on my current books!

In other news, my assistant Amelie was helping me with illustrations last night.
She has to have her own brush if I have any hopes of being allowed to get work done.
