A Day In The Office

Working for the Clarence Brown Theatre is a pretty cool job,
not to mention a good way to inspire new home decor ideas. This is just one
of the projects I was working on yesterday for the upcoming Christmas Carol show,
making wood plank floors out of giant, white flats.
(In the background are some more planks I've worked on in their finished form.)

Totoro!

For sick day #2, I finally got around to painting the little clay Totoro cup I made months ago!
He'll likely be my new paintbrush holder or, as he is a nature spirit,
perhaps I'll put some dried flowers in him. Time will tell!

If you aren't familiar with who Totoro is, you may meet him here:

And thank you Jane Cartwright Pottery for letting me permanently borrow some clay...and for using your kiln...and for life. Love you, Mom!

Check out her work here --->  http://janecartwrightpottery.blogspot.com/

It's incredible! (And I'd say that even if she weren't my favorite).

Previous Engagements

In addition to smiles and laughter, I seem to have also received a cold from the charming 4th graders
at Ridge View Elementary School where I spoke for Career Day last week.
To entertain myself during my sick day, I sat on the couch and did sketches
of all my recently engaged friends and their charming fiancés.

Hilarious scanner error...or rather human error whilst operating a scanner.
Ok, it was my fault and I'm proud of it!
