All the Singin' Ladies

The lovely and talented women of the University of Tennessee's women's a cappella group, reVOLution, approached me about helping them to design a group shirt. We had fun going through several drafts before settling on this one. It incorporates their 'tagline' originally created by founder Meagan Langford, "peace, love, reVOL" as well as their fun-loving, free spirits with a touch of retro.

A Set of Sass

Another quick sketch between working on illustrations. I drew a set of sassy dancers. Of course.
Because they have the most fun.
And what better way to help a friend break in a new watercolor set than with a little flair?

Water Sketches

Here are a couple quick, little, postcard size sketches done between working on illustrations.

I used them for greeting cards after their completion.

Blue Eyed Boy

Don't be fooled by his serene expression. He was a very fidgety model.

Process, Process, Progress

Busy busy busy! Here's a sneak peek of what I've been working on. The next book is taking shape!

Storyboards turn into characters. It's like magic; best part of my job.

For more on this next project, keep checking in for updates! The book is due out in June 2012!

Take & Cake

What better way to celebrate 3 different birthdays at one giant birthday bash than to put cartoons of them on their cakes? I was approached by a friend of mine to help with this endeavor, and here are the results. A fun and soon to be delicious project!
